1. Set mode switch and insert rechargeable battery by pushing firmly against the metal terminals in the charger unit and then pressing the battery down into its seat.
2. Connect the Charger unit either to a mains outlet via the power unit supplied or to a vehicle cigarette lighter socket via the car accessory lead.
3. Switch on the mains supply at the wall socket (if applicable). The red indicator light illuminates while the battery discharges and then automatically goes into a charge cycle indicated by a flashing green light.

After charge duration (depending on mode switch position), the green light stops flashing (is permanently on) and the battery will be charged ready for use.

Note: Occasionally recondition (set mode to **) batteries for best performance.
