Do they suffer from memory effect? Do NiMH batteries lose their charge when not in use?

Memory effect is a much misunderstood concept and is the result of incorrect charging of NiCd batteries. NiMH batteries do not suffer from the same phenomenon (actually, they do but not to the same extent and not in the same way and, in any case, our chargers are fully automatic and designed to prevent such problems).

Yes, more so than NiCd batteries. If you are not sure when a battery last received a charge, it is always better to charge again.
